Posting an ad


How do I post an advert?

You can post a new advert on the site at any time using the "Post a free advert" link in the header, or through your user account dashboard if you have one. Click here to post a free advert now.

How many ads can I place on the site?

You may post up to 5 free adverts on MyClassifieds at one time with a free account. Users with a Storefront or premium account can post unlimited adverts. If you would like to purchase a storefront or bulk listings on the site, please contact sales@myclassifieds.co.zw.

I’m having problems uploading images for my ad or user profile, why is this happening?

You may uplaod up to 4 images per listing, at a maximum file size of 2MB. Accepted file formats are JPG, PNG and GIF, if your images do not meet these criteria you will not be able to upload them. You will need to edit them to the correct size and file format and try again. If you continue to have problems, please contact us on admin@myclassifieds.co.zw for further assistance.

How long will my ad stay up on the site before it expires?

Free listings will remain live on the site for a maximum of 30 days, after which they will expire. You will receive a notification from MyClassifieds via email reminding you of this, with the option to renew or delete it.

What if there's no category for my product?

Please contact us on admin@myclassifieds.co.zw with your request for a new category to be added.

 

Searching for and replying to ads

 

How do I search for what I’m looking for?

You may use the search filters in the website header to filter adverts by your region, categories and search terms. You may also refine your search further using the search filters in the left sidebar of category listing and search results pages.

What if I can’t find the region or category I’m looking for?

Please first check the full listing of regions and categories available on the site, if the region or category you are looking for is not there, please contact us on admin@myclassifieds.co.zw with details of the region or categegory you would like added and we will consider it for inclusion.

How do buyers and sellers communicate with each other?

There are Contact Seller forms on each individual advert listing which will allow the buyer to directly email the seller. Sellers are also able to publish their contact details on their individual advert listings for buyers to use. Companies are also able to list all of their contact details on their Storefront (this is a paid for feature). Ongoing contact between buyer and seller to arrange the purchase and delivery of products and services will happen offline, not through this website.

How do I subscribe to and manage email alerts?

You may subscribe to email alerts on searches for you preferred region, category and other specific search filters in several ways:

  • Entering the filters you wish to subscribe to, with your email address on the Email Alerts page
  • Entering your email address on category listing and search results pages underneath the search filters
  • Using the "Manage your Alerts" section on your account dashboard if you have one. You can also unsubscribe from and adjust email alerts using your account dashboard.

Can I use MyClassifieds on my phone?

Yes, the MyClassifieds website is available on mobile devices, where you will be able to browse adverts, upload new listings, create a user account, and edit or remove existing listings through your account dashboard.

 

Managing adverts and accounts

 

Why should I register an account on MyClassifieds? What does it cost?

Registering an account on MyClassifieds is free, and there are several benefits to having one, including:

  • Managing your listings (create, edit, upgrade, and delete)
  • Manage your email alerts (create, edit and delete)
  • Create a MyClassifieds profile with your contact details and profile picture
  • Add adverts on the site to a watchlist, to go back and view later or monitor for updates
  • Upgrade to a premium account (Storefront) with unlimited listings and logo next to your adverts.

How do I register an account?

Click here to register an account, or visit the "Register" link in the website header available at any time.

Can I save listings to edit, delete or upgrade later?

Yes you can, but you will need to create an account on the website as described above and manage these through your account dashboard.

How do I edit, delete, renew or upgrade my ad?

If you have an account, the easiest way to do this is through your account dashboard available once you have logged in. If you do not have an account, you are able to edit and delete your advert using the links supplied in the activation email you receive when publishing a new listing.

How do I delete my account?

Navigate to your account dashboard, click on My Profile and then click on Delete towards the bottom of the page. Please note this will also delete all listings and profile information related to your account permanently.

What is the difference between a free account and a paid account?

A free account allows you to create and manage up to 5 free listings on the website, as well as the other tools listed above. A paid account allows you to upload unlimited listings and feature your profile on the Stores section, and your company logo next to your listings. A premium account costs $15 for 30 days, with option to renew. Please contact sales@myclassifieds.co.zw if you are interested in creating or upgrading to a premium account.
